The Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) has called an important meeting on the 34th National Games today following political unrest in the country.
POA's secretary Khalid Mahmood confirmed Geo News that they have called a meeting with all stakeholders to decide the future of the upcoming National Games amid the current situation in the country.
The president of POA, Arif Hassan will chair the meeting which will be attended by officials and members of the general council.
All the stakeholders will discuss whether the National Games can go ahead as per schedule or not following the current countrywide protests due to the arrest of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan.
The official announcement will be made after the meeting today.
It must be noted here that the 34th National Games are set to begin on May 12 in Quetta. All the preparations, under the supervision of Balochistan government, have been done to make the event successful.
